Kissimmee was originally named Allendale, after 1860s Major J. H. Allen. It was renamed Kissimmee when incorporated as a city in 1883. It is the largest city and county seat of Osceola County. It’s south Orlando via Hwy 441.
Orlando is home to Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando, and Lake Buena Vista/Bay Lake, home to Walt Disney World Resort, allowing tourists to access the parks through the city via Hwy 192. The City of Kissimmee’s inspiring motto is: “A community of neighborhoods for families!”.
